- Establishing a Guideline: Finding the exact centre line of the room.
- Laying the Starter Rows: Installing a starter piece or "spine" on the guideline, usually centred.
- Interlocking the Blocks: Laying the blocks in the "V" pattern, interlocking the tongue and groove, typically using a high-quality wood adhesive.
- Cutting the Perimeter: Cutting the blocks that meet the walls and trimming the last row.
