Located in London’s fashionable Mayfair, Chef Theo Randall’s award-winning flagship restaurant underwent an extensive refurbishment project in celebration of the venue’s 10-year anniversary.

Named as one of the UK’s top 100 restaurants at the National Restaurant Awards, Theo Randall at the InterContinental is renowned for its produce-driven rustic Italian menu. In 2016, the restaurant celebrated a decade of success by undergoing a complete refurbishment project.

Paying homage to the restaurant’s Italian roots, the dining area was furnished with Carrera marble surfaces and a partial terrazzo floor. To accompany the marble feature, Atkinson & Kirby’s Classic Natural Oak flooring was installed throughout the restaurant. This high-quality prime grade oak perfectly compliments the terrazzo, as the organic knots and grains add character, while remaining subtle enough to allow the marble to shine as a statement feature. The striking contrast of the warm wood to the cool marble has given the room a light and airy, yet sophisticated atmosphere.

Selecting the flooring as the statement feature, the design team furnished the restaurant with contemporary décor. Swapping linens for exposed wooden tables and brown leather booths for plush cream and sage green chairs, the muted tones of the furniture perfectly compliment the striking statement flooring. 

Adding warmth and character to the intimate interior, the Atkinson & Kirby Classic range flooring has helped to transform the Theo Randall into a welcoming and relaxing space for diners.
