5 Melville Crescent, in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End, has been sensitively restored to offer discerning buyers a unique opportunity to purchase a property with a history to match its setting.
Leading flooring manufacturer Atkinson & Kirby has been chosen to complement the building’s rich history and enhance the overall look and feel of the property with its range of oak flooring.
Set in Edinburgh’s renowned west end with its beautiful Georgian buildings, 5 Melville Crescent enjoys unspoiled views across the city’s iconic skyline, including roof top views to the castle and the Pentland Hills.
LBA Architects were appointed from inception through to completion to convert the original property into 5 luxury dwellings. The development includes 2 and 3-bedroom apartments, with the upper apartment including a roof terrace.
Partnership Flooring, the key contractor for the project, supplied Atkinson & Kirby’s Euro Oak range of engineered flooring in the shade coffee. The chosen finish for this project was stained, brushed and oiled to which meant the floor kept the character of the building whilst providing a high quality live looking finish which enhanced the natural grains and patterns of hardwood.
Peter Douglas, from Partnership Flooring said: “We are proud of the work that has been undertaken for the 5 Melville Crescent project, the Atkinson & Kirby engineered oak was ideal for the project, fitting in with both the character and style of the building.”
Zara Prescott, Communications Executive for Atkinson & Kirby said: “We are really pleased that our engineered oak flooring has been chosen as a valuable addition to the development. Our wide range of engineered flooring makes us ideal for high end residential applications such as this.”
