Atkinson & Kirby has supplied Witley Oak, a solid hardwood flooring from the Refined collection to the new City of Glasgow College campus central atrium.
City of Glasgow College’s new Cathedral Street campus, in the heart of Glasgow’s Learning Quarter is one of the largest in Scotland. Designed for 40,000 students, the new college super campus includes technologically advanced facilities that blend seamlessly with the vast, open-plan teaching environment, making it an inspiring space to teach and learn.
The inclusion of Atkinson & Kirby’s flooring works perfectly with the modern interior of the college, and the high level of quality means the floor will be able to cope well with the vast footfall of students throughout the space.
The installation, handled by GL Floors based in Edinburgh, was fitted with Atkinson & Kirby’s Witley Oak, and was selected as the flooring of choice near to the stairs in the Central Atrium. To blend with the modern décor of the college, the range was chosen to compliment the stunning oak panelling on the walls in the open-plan atrium and internal roof spaces.
